For the dog that passed the elimination trial
The trial worked and you have your trigger list. Now you need a diet you can feed for life: complete, balanced, and built around what your dog can safely eat.
Feed them something wild.
After an elimination trial, it all comes down to a question of whether you can trust what the label says. Independent researchers tested exactly that, and the answer is why we operate the way we do.
10
of 40 diets
In 2018, researchers DNA-tested 40 commercial novel-protein and hydrolysed diets sold for dogs with food sensitivities. 10 of 40 diets contained only what the label claimed. The most common undeclared ingredients were pork, chicken and turkey.
The researchers attributed the contamination to shared production lines that are not fully cleaned between batches. For most dogs this goes unnoticed.
For a dog with a chicken sensitivity on a diet that quietly contains chicken, it looks like the diet failed. Often the diet never got a fair test.
Ricci R, et al. Undeclared animal species in dry and wet novel and hydrolysed protein diets for dogs and cats detected by microarray analysis. BMC Veterinary Research 2018;14:209.
The study tested European dry and wet diets, one batch per product. Undeclared species have been found across all food formats, including raw. This is a production-discipline problem, not a food-format problem, and it’s why we run our facility the way we do.
Novelty is individual, not categorical. We verify each dog’s dietary history when onboarding.
We are committed to raw dog food formulations that support healthier teeth, coats, ears, guts, joints and butts, so you can take our label at its word.
Formulated by Dr Anna Sutton, Independent Registered Animal Nutritionist (RAnNutri), to AAFCO 2026 All Life Stages, you can be guaranteed:
One protein per pack. Single-protein recipes only, no cross-contamination, no substitutions.
One protein in production at a time, with a full clean-down before the next run.

The outcomes of an elimination trial leave you with more information and insight into your dog’s health than most: a confirmed list of what your dog cannot eat, and often what they were fed during the trial. We build your dog’s rotation protocol from this information.
01
Confirmed triggers and protein used during the trial, so we know what is novel to your dog.
02
Any protein you mark as a reaction is written into your dog’s health profile, to ensure it is excluded from their rotation. Update exclusions yourself at any time.
03
Your dog only cycles through proteins their history allows. If that is two, instead of three proteins, the plan runs to two.
Your dog’s rotation starts with the protein they are least likely to have eaten before, chosen against their trial results and dietary history.
The move off a prescription elimination diet should be gradual and steady, introducing the new protein over one to two weeks while the diet that held your dog stable is phased out. Because every Ranges Raw pack is single-protein, you are only ever introducing one variable at a time, which is the same discipline your trial ran on.
Your vet or dermatologist knows your dog’s case. We are built to fit the plan they set, and the feeding guide in your first box covers the transition step by step.
Every Ranges Raw meal includes a functional blend, so there’s nothing extra to add. Prebiotic, fibre, dental health & joint vitamins and minerals are integrated as part of our recipes.
No extra add ons. No extra costs.
